We provide low-barrier access to land, shared kitchens, fresh culturally appropriate foods, and communal meals so families can meet their basic needs with dignity. Sustenance roots ensure families have consistent access to the nourishment that sustains both body and spirit, particularly during times of seasonal and economic instability. This is infrastructure, not charity—building systems where families control their own food security.
One way we do this is by coordinating and delivering weekly food boxes to community members. Fresh produce is sourced from local farmers and directly from Growing Ancestral Roots' community gardens. We also raise chickens for eggs and meat for the boxes.
