USDA-Approved Tamale Pilot:
We are working with Muddy Creek School, supported by Benton Health and LBLHEA, to create a USDA-approved tamale for school lunches. This is a first-of-its-kind effort, and if successful, could expand to the entire Corvallis School District — bringing culturally relevant food directly to students.Free Weekly Hot Cultural Meals:
We are exploring a community meal program using local produce, serving rotating hot dishes — Indian, Mexican, Guatemalan, and Chinese — for seniors and low-income families. Food that warms the body and honors the cultures of the people who live here.- Freight Farms: We are working on partnering to get an enclosed shipping container hydroponics system to extend the growing season and to be able to grow food all year long.
